The next performance of the Pinellas Community Players!

Whatever we are good at, we all started somewhere.

It was through the encouragement of others that we found the motivation to keep going and share what we know and what we can do, to help make our world a better place to live.

    Be encouraging.

Attend this performance of the Pinellas Community Players, and bring a friend with you :)

Led by Derek Currier, this ensemble gives adults the opportunity to improve their skills on an instrument either new to them or from their youth.

    Free to attend.
    Freewill donations invited.

    Lord of the Rings

Johan de Meij’s first symphony “The Lord of the Rings” is based on the trilogy of that name by J.R.R. Tolkien. This book has fascinated many millions of readers since its publication in 1955. The symphony consists of five separate movements, each illustrating a personage or an important episode from the book (note: this is original music unrelated to Peter Jackson's movies with New Line Cinema and music by Howard Shore).

The five movements included represent characters in the book:

    • Gandalf
    • Lothlorien
    • Gollum
    • Journey in the Dark (The Mines of Moria and the Bridge of Khazad-Dûm)
    • Hobbits

    Free admission.
    Suggested donation $10 per person.
Committed Members of the DMS may login and register to reserve seats in the front center rows up to 3 days before the performance.
