Dunedin Concert Band performs a marimba concerto and symphonic dances

This year's featured concert work is Marimba Concerto #2 by David Gillingham, performed by our very own Alex Guini.

If you don't know what a marimba is, it can be one of the most beautiful, exotic, calming, mesmerizing instruments ever invented... in the right hands.

Matched with Ginastera's Symphonic Dance suite Estancia as well as music by Khatchaturian, Tatebe, and a Sousa march, this is surely a concert you HAVE to bring someone with you!
